Robbie Nielson's Heart of Midlothian have continued their impressive summer business, signing English Midfielder Jorge Grant from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.
This move comes off the back of a solid season in the English Championship for Grant, although he was unable to save 'The Posh' from relegation back down to League One. The Midfielder only spent one season on the books at Peterborough, playing 29 times for the club - scoring 2 and assisting 3.
Grant arguably played his best football for Lincoln City, where he became club captain and his side's star man - contributing to 43 goals in just 88 games from the centre of the park. In his final season at the club, Lincoln were incredibly close to promotion via the play-offs, losing the final 2-1 to Blackpool.
Jorge Grant has been described as "an experienced player who will bring dynamism and guile in the final third." by Neilson, with the Hearts' manager excited about his latest addition.
Grant is a real coup for Heart of Midlothian and will bolster their options in the middle of the park, adding creativity and determination to the centre of the park that will surely come in handy during their European run, with the 'Jambos' guaranteed some form of European group stage football this season.
The fee paid to acquire Grant remains undisclosed, and his Peterborough contract was set to run until the summer of 2024, so it will be interesting to see what Hearts had to pay to entice him up north.

Overall, Jorge Grant is an exciting midfielder, who can play up and down the centre of the park, whilst his abilities suit the Attacking Midifled role best, he can also play in the centre and even slightly deeper. He will give Nielson plenty of options and add a lot to this Hearts team, especially with European football to come.
This is a good signing by Hearts and could help propel them to the next level, combined with the other business they have done this summer thus far.
